Took a trip up North to Zululand. Let me tell you something – Zululand has some amazing waves. Winter in KwaZulu Natal is amazing! Beautiful and warm.  We spent one day surfing Richards Bay – a really fun left wedge and smiling faces. Then we visited Tezulu Farm, saw some giraffe and crocodiles. Nikita Robb caught her first fish and got bitten on the bum by a Donkey. Also surfed the Wahine Cup at New Pier, Sarah Baum was on FIRE and took out the ladies division. I’ve known Sarah was gonna rip since she was a lightie, but sheeesshh. Crazy good attack – I love to watch her.

I’m so stoked that the NSRI got some awesome free advertising space for their campaign!! We did the campaign to help create awareness – they rely on donations and support form the public! They save lives and to continue saving lives they need your help!!!

Had a fun sesh at the SELI 1 wreck today. There were some really good left and right wedges between some very fat and slow sets! Winter is on its way in Cape Town, its been bloody freezing have had to drink lots of red wine to survive. haha/  BUT winter means swell, swell, swell and waves, waves, waves!

Had a fun Sunday Morning with my buddy Ty Kansley yesterday. Surfed a really really fun little West Coast left bowl, was about 2ft, super low tide and running along a little sandbar (NOT Big Bay!!).  Really enjoyed surfing on my backhand, we have so many good right handers in South Africa that I hardly ever find myself going left!  Ty is usually on the other side of the lens shooting shooting shooting so it was nice to have him in the water, even though he kept telling me that he was seeing ‘shark fins’ just beyond the backline! Wes Zondagh took the shots. Thanx WES!

HEYA! hellooo, this is my first post for a lonnng time!  my excuse is that my internet at home was capped. I blame it on the Quiky Pro on the Gold Coast, I just couldn’t stop myself from watching!  Been enjoying the last few days of Cape Town summer  and the first few days of Autumn surf! I love this time of year in CT, the South Easter backs off and we start getting fun, clean swells with clear skies. Love it!
