SA surfing champs/ Held in the DEEEEP South at St Mikes. Interesting place. Very fun times. There were some good waves during the event and some AWESOME surfing. My fav division is the Super Vets – over 60 and the ballies shred!

Margate. The very Dirrrrrty south.
Here are some pics from the event. And some pics of events from around the event. Does that make sense? click them please.

Freestyle Surf About
HEYA! I surfed in the Freestyle SurfAbout presented by BATTERY Energy Drink at Table View Beach last weekend (Check out the slide show on the BOMBsurf.co.za HERE).

My first heat on Saturday afternoon went ok, by the time the girls division got underway it was high tide (MONSTER shorey I couldn’t get in after my heat haha got smashed into the sand. kiff!) and the onshore was up, but I still managed to get two fun waves and made it through! RAD#1
After the contest on Saturday all the competitors rocked out at Stones Table View (Free VIP entry! RAD#2). Freestyle sponsored band PRETTY DIRTY blew up and every body had an awesome time.
On Sunday the weather wasn’t tooooooo good, the wind was howling and the paddle was hectic! I never surf Table View cos it’s a mission paddle and its difficult to be in the right spot for sets etc BUT there are actually fun waves out there, even when it looks horrible. Ian Armstrong blew me away in the Open Mens final, he was surfing SO well and throwing himself at the crazy shorey. He was doing re-entries onto DRY SAND! I’m so happy he won the R6000.00 he deserved it. I won the Ladies final (RAD#3)! It was VERY close between Penny Stemmet and I for 1st place! Look out for the Freestyle SurfAbout on SUPERSPORT, I think it premieres on the 1st October !!!!
